Three Pairs of Jeans In-Fashion
Let’s be honest, jeans are a staple of every woman’s wardrobe, especially during the winter season. However much we might try to persuade ourselves that teaming cotton tights with dresses and skirts is really a plausible option in the coming months, most of us tend to stick to jeans and trousers. They are simply more practical, warmer and cosier. But just because jeans have a practical purpose doesn’t have to make them boring; as we all know, the right cut and style of denim can flatter a figure and make a girl look her best. Here are three of this season’s freshest and hottest jeans.
Wide Leg Jeans
Probably the trendiest denim style this autumn and winter, wide leg jeans make a nice change from last year’s skinny jean obsession. They’re a favourite of designers such as Versace and Cavalli, and are also worn frequently by celebrities as stylish as Victoria Beckham, Keira Knightley and Sarah Jessica Parker. Wear them with a high waist for a slouchy cool look, or low-waisted for a more chic, modern and feminine vibe. The real benefit of wearing these thigh-wide trousers is that, when paired with heels, they make a girl’s legs look super-long! And there’s nothing more slimming, and more elegant, than a style of trouser that doesn’t cling too close to the flesh.
Skinny Jeans
Just because the wide-leg trouser has come into style, it doesn’t mean that skinny jeans aren’t just as popular this year as they have been in years passed. Designers, fashion editors, photographers, models and celebrities all love them, probably because the number of fashion ideas to which the skinny jean gives rise is vast. Bohemian chic, hipster cool, rock chick burn-out, folky cute or seventies funky, skinny jeans can be adapted to suit most styles. And the right pair won’t fail to slim the thigh and lift and shape the buttocks, streamlining your silhouette and adding to your confidence!
The Boyfriend Jean
This is a classic look that has been popular ever since Katie Holmes donned a pair in Dawson’s Creek. In fashion at the moment are the straight-legged boyfriend jeans that are cuffed at the bottom, with the cuff falling just above the ankle. There are versions of these made especially for women, but you’re likely to find a much more authentic looking pair by raiding the men’s section of charity stores, or your boyfriend’s or brother’s closet. Be sure to browse New Look’s wide selection of jeans right now too; there’ve been recent reductions on boyfriend jeans, from £16.00 to £12.00.
